If your podcast audience has stopped growing, it's tempting to think you need to change everything.
Speaker:New format, new artwork, new promotion strategy.
Speaker:But before you start making big changes, take a step back.
Speaker:First, look at your recent episodes. Are there particular topics that consistently
Speaker:attract more listeners?
Speaker:Could you explore those subjects further? Next, look at how people are discovering your podcast.
Speaker:Are you reaching new listeners or are you mainly speaking to the same audience every week?
Speaker:And think about what happens after someone discovers your show.
Speaker:Is it clear what your podcast is about and why they'd want to come back for another episode?
Speaker:You might find there's an opportunity to improve your promotion,
Speaker:make your episode titles clearer,
Speaker:or give new listeners a better introduction to your back catalogue.
Speaker:And remember, growth isn't always a straight line. Sometimes your audience needs
Speaker:time to catch up with the work you're putting in.
Speaker:So don't change everything just because your numbers have levelled off.
Speaker:Look for the gaps, try something different, and give it time to work. Because a
Speaker:plateau doesn't automatically mean your podcast has reached its limit - it might
Speaker:just mean it's time to find your next opportunity for growth. Until the next time, happy podcasting.
